We are all seeking a place to belong and be seen fully and authentically. Yet, church workers often face overwhelming demands and the complexities of navigating a shifting social, political, and ecclesiastical landscape.
Dr. Sarah Leer (she/her), an educator, youth worker, and practical theologian, will lead this workshop to spark conversations of affirmation, solidarity, and belonging through the lens of abundance. Participants will engage with topics such as brave spaces, practical theology, and resources to affirm and celebrate LGBTQIA+ people within their communities. The workshop will also address the unique challenges and joys faced in various ministry contexts.
Through thoughtful dialogue, creativity, and collaboration, participants will explore how adults can share power with youth and young adults intentionally to foster deeper belonging in faith communities. This session will equip attendees with practical tools, frameworks, and resources to help nurture inclusive spaces and inspire transformation.
